Why are all the text messages in English and not textspeak/chatspeak/whatever the hell that is?

I text in proper English, grammar and all. So do my friends. It's not a rule, we just...do. The only exception is sometimes I say lol.

And I love Jing's last line. Any excuse to say "fa la la la la" in a conversation is good in my book.
